From Loss to Leadership
Several years ago, I faced a profound personal loss—the passing of my husband. At the time, I was a stay-at-home mother and homemaker, devoted to caring for our family. But shortly after his passing, the financial markets plunged. What I had believed to be secure investments vanished, and I found myself having to start over—emotionally, personally, and financially.
That season of hardship reshaped my path. I realized I wanted a career where I could help others avoid similar pain—where I could turn my experience into education, and my compassion into guidance. I became determined to help individuals and families protect what matters most: income, retirement savings, and peace of mind.
In 2007, I earned my life and health insurance licenses, followed shortly by two securities licenses. Over the years, I’ve worked with both independent advisors and larger firms. While those experiences brought learning, I also encountered approaches that didn’t sit well with my values.
Today, I run my own practice—founded on clarity, personal attention, and genuine care. I help clients build thoughtful strategies designed to protect their future, preserve their legacy, and weather life’s financial uncertainties with confidence.
Family continues to be at the heart of my life. I’m a proud mother and grandmother—my daughter, married to her high school sweetheart, has blessed me with three lively grandsons. We enjoy visiting Oregon often, relishing time with extended family and the peaceful rhythm of the coastline.
When I’m not working, I find joy in the quiet companionship of animals. I’ve had horses all my adult life, and today I’m fortunate to share time with two remarkable steeds—Teddy, a steady soul who has seen me through many seasons, and Red, a newer addition whose energy and curiosity bring fresh joy to the trail. At home, Annie, my loyal Australian Cattledog, is rarely far from my side. Together, we enjoy long walks, quiet evenings, and the kind of bond only time and trust can build.
